GREEN RIVER — Sweetwater County School District No. 2 (SCSD No. 2) Superintendent Craig Barringer is reporting that one student and four employees in the district have tested positive for the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

According to a release from Barringer, two staff members at Harrison Elementary School, one staff member from Monroe Elementary School, and one from Green River High School have tested positive for the virus.

“Because of preventative measures taken there will be no other students or staff quarantined as a result,” he said.

The district also had one student at Lincoln Middle School test positive for COVID-19.

“Through contact tracing there will be eight additional students that will be quarantined at LMS,” Barringer said.

All families that were of concern have been contacted.
