GREEN RIVER – Lady Tigers Calie Cox finished 12th and Shaylee Zampedri tied for 22nd as the Rock Springs Lady Tigers finished the 4A Girl’s Golf State Championships in the fifth position.
Kelly Walsh won its first title passing defending champion Sheridan on day two to win, 520 to 525. Evanston and Natrona finished third and fourth while Rock Springs remained just in front of Cheyenne East to finish fifth.
Calie Cox finished a season that saw her take her first tournament win in Evanston with a 12th-place finish for the championships. Shaylee Zampedri finished a good tournament tied for 22nd.
Green River’s Sydnee Sanchez shot a two-day total of 195 to finish 17th. Sanchez moved up a position on the second day of the tournament.
