ROCK SPRINGS — The Street Crimes Unit reports that they seized felony amounts of methamphetamine from a Rock Springs woman.
According to Chief Pacheco:
A traffic stop on Thursday afternoon yields felony amount of methamphetamine and one arrest.
On Sept. 8, Detectives from the Rock Springs Police Department Street Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Melissa Beth McGovern (48) of Rock Springs.
Through the course of the traffic stop and with the assistance of the Wyoming Highway Patrol, detectives located 34.3 grams of methamphetamine along with multiple items of paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Subsequently, McGovern was placed under arrest for Driving under Suspension 3rd Offense, Open Container, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver and transported to the Sweetwater County Jail.
Bond was not available at the time of this release.
