GREEN RIVER – After going 2-2 on the opening day of the Thoman Soda Ash Invite , the Rock Springs Tigers went 4-0 on Saturday to capture the Silver bracket.
The Tigers defeated Lander, Evanston and Douglas to advance to the first-place match in the Silver Bracket. After losing to East in the finals at the Bison Bonanza, a fast start led to a Tiger win over the Thunderbirds.
Three Tigers made it to the best of the best matches to conclude the Invite, Cameron Metcalf, RJ Stassisnos and Jonathan Nowland. Stassinsnos won his match at 132 by a 6-5 decision while Nowland took the 4-2 decision win at 195. Metcalf lost a close one at 120, 2-0.
