
ROCK SPRINGS – Jeanne M. Tominc, 92, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Tominc passed away following a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 19, 1921 in Superior, Wyoming, the daughter of the late John Frolich and Johanna Tomazovic.
Mrs. Tominc attended schools in Superior, Wyoming and graduated from Superior High School with the Class of 1938. She also attended the University of Wyoming in 1942 and graduated with a degree in Primary Education.
She married Stanley Tominc in Davis, California on July 7, 1943.
Mrs. Tominc worked as an elementary school teacher for School District #1 for twenty-two years, until her retirement in 1981.
She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community, American Fraternal Union, where she was the secretary for twenty-seven years, SNPJ Lodge, Topnochers Homemakers, Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority, Young at Heart Senior Center, lifetime PTA member and Meals on Wheels for seventeen years.
Mrs. Tominc interests included crafts, seamstress, avid reader, puzzles, traveling, artist and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband Stan Tominc of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son Alan Tominc and wife Kathleen of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one daughter Joyce Moody and husband Mike of Ft. Collins, Colorado; one brother Stanley Frolich of Pinedale, Wyoming; five grandchildren Tracy Tominc, Tina Saxowsky, Jeanne Moody, Anne Moody and Neal Moody and four great-grandchildren Dominic Saxowsky, Riley Saxowsky, Trace Tominc and Gage Tominc.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Victor Frolich and sister-in-law Nellie Frolich, John Frolich and sister-in-law Elsie Frolich.
Cremation will take place and memorial services will be announced at a later date.
