GREEN RIVER — Sherry Bushman announced March 2 that she will be a candidate for Green River Ward 1 in the upcoming 2020 primary.
“I care deeply and passionately about my community,” she said. “I do consider serving on the council not as politics, but as a public service.”
Bushman earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a certificate in Business Computer Programming. She is currently a director of Credit & Collections in the staffing industry.
“In my career, I have been part of corporate management and I have learned that relationships are a key component to ensure a long-term partnership to reach a successful common goal.”
Bushman is currently serving as the Chair URA/Main Street Agency, 2nd Vice Chair American Legion Auxiliary Tom Whitmore, Post 28, and a member of the Hole in the Wall Gang. She has documented more than 250 volunteer annual hours in 2019 serving the Green River community.
