Antonio Corona (December 26, 1931 – January 20, 2022)

Antonio, “Tony”, “TC”, “Papo” Corona passed away on January 20, 2022. He was born to John and Columba Corona on December 26, 1931, in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Now that was a very Blessed Christmas present!

Tony married Dorothy Cristelli in 1951 and they divorced in 1978. Tony is survived by his son John (Jane) Corona who Tony was very proud of and cherished each memory he had of their Christmas’s together in Mexico. John has a son Andy (Kristen) Corona and a daughter Tess (Adam) Martin. Tess has two children Lucas and Isabel. Tony was a proud and loving grandfather and great grandfather.

Tony has an older sister Antonia Paravicini and a younger sister Rosemary Callas. Both sisters were extremely special to Tony and he truly felt close to them and loved them dearly. Foot races, fishing and having a pet coyote for a dog are three of his best memories with his sisters in their childhood. In adult years there are too many memories for Tony to have picked a favorite. Antonia has a son, Rudy Paravicini, who Tony enjoyed playing the accordion with when they got together. Rosemary has four daughters, Diana Hoffman, Jamie Krmpotich, Tammy Vavra and Tonette West. Tony enjoyed spending time with them very much.

Two great passions that filled Tony’s world were of accordion playing, swing music, polkas and having jam sessions with his dear friends, whether in person or by phone. Tony’s second great passion was falling in love with Nadene Kline.

Tony and Nadene were the true definition of soul mates, always and forever. They danced like Fred and Ginger and could’ve danced all through the night. Nadene‘s heart filled with joy as she listened to Tony play the accordion. She always asked, “for just one more song”. Tony lost his Nadene on November 28, 2020 and his heart was truly broken. Tony did feel very close to Nadene‘s daughter Amy Bernard and Amy’s two children Louie and Sophie. Amy cherished Tony, her Papo as she called him, with all her heart and soul! As Tony was close to passing away he would look up and smile and say, “I am the luckiest man in the world!”
