GREEN RIVER — Rock Springs swept the team titles Friday during the Green River High School cross country meet at Stratton-Myers Park, while Green River runners captured individual top-three finishes in both races.
Rock Springs senior Aria Wheeler won the girls race in 21 minutes, 16.04 seconds, leading the Lady Tigers to the team title. Teammate Macy Harmon, a sophomore, finished second in 22:20.79.

Green River sophomore Adri Curtis was third in 23:14.08, giving the Lady Wolves their highest girls’ finish. Rock Springs senior Deagyn Sperry placed fourth in 23:17.02, followed by teammate Hazel Wheeler, a sophomore, in fifth at 23:30.01.
Rock Springs also claimed the boys team title, but Green River senior Jesse Kimble finished first in 18:09.96.
Rock Springs freshman Kiefer Crompton was second in 18:33.26, followed by senior teammate Jake Swensen in 18:40.86. Green River senior Hunter Rushing finished fourth in 18:42.28, while Rock Springs junior Layton Lovato rounded out the top five in 18:47.61.
The meet served as the first varsity competition of the season for both Green River and Rock Springs. It was also Green River’s only home meet of the season.
