A case is identified as recovered when there is a resolution of a fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and there is an improvement in respiratory symptoms for 72 hours and at least seven days have passed since symptoms first appeared.

Probable cases include a total count of people who are a close contact to a laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 case and develop symptoms of COVID-19, but are not tested. This count includes probable cases that have recovered.

So far, 21 of the 23 counties have reported at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. The four counties with the most reported cases of COVID-19 are Fremont with 112, Laramie with 98, Teton with 65 and Natrona with 39.

Sweetwater County

Sweetwater County currently has 11 laboratory-confirmed positive COVID-19 Coronavirus cases and seven probable cases. The 11th patient, a woman in her 50s, who lives in Rock Springs, was hospitalized April 30 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County and is in stable condition, according to the Sweetwater County COVID-19 Emergency Operations Center.

Ten lab-confirmed positive patients and five probable patients have now recovered. Two of the remaining active patients are in self-isolation and in good condition with only mild symptoms treatable from home.
