CASPER –The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Casper Field Office announces the availability of an environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed Black Beauty Mine project located approximately 13 miles southwest of Wheatland, Wyo. in Platte County.
Stone Wholesale, Inc. has proposed to develop a 57.3 acre dimensional stone quarry targeting an amphibolite deposit for sale as decorative stone in the building market. The Black Beauty Mine as proposed would be located in T. 23 N., R. 70 W., portions of Sections 13 and 24 in Platte County.
The EA has been prepared by the BLM, Casper Field Office in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act to analyze the impacts of the proposed project. Â It is available for public review and comment at http://www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/info/NEPA/documents/cfo.html.
