PARK COUNTY — Park County Fire Warden Russ Wenke has substantially completed his investigation into the Cedar Mountain Fire and has concluded that the fire was caused by two juvenile males playing with fire. Because they are juveniles they will not be releasing any additional information.

However, on another note, the fire warden’s office has discovered that during the incident someone launched a drone. Luckily a woman who knows how serious this can be for our air resources asked the gentleman to land the drone and he did. If a drone had been observed over the incident, all of the air resources would have been grounded until they could verify the drone was no longer in the area. If fire fighters had lost their air support, the outcome of this incident would have been much worse.
