SWEETWATER COUNTY — In honor of National Food Bank Day this Friday, there is no better time for residents to donate to the Food Bank of Sweetwater County this week.
Donations to the food bank can be made on distribution days, which this month take place Thursday at 550 Uinta Drive Suite F in Green River and Sept. 10 at 90 Center Street in Rock Springs.
The food bank can accept donations of fresh and frozen items such as dairy, refrigerated and freezer foods and meats, as long as it has been professionally packaged, at the Green River and Rock Springs locations.
Non-perishable items such as canned foods, dry packaged food, baby food, diapers, children’s books, and personal items like shampoo, toothpaste and soap are accepted at the Green River and Rock Springs libraries during regular hours.
Monetary donations can be made during business hours at either location, mailed to the Food Bank of Sweetwater County’s office in Rock Sprongs or online at their website found here.
