The Rock Springs Parks & Recreation Department is opening registration for the Summer Youth Development Programs.  There are deadlines for individual event registration.  The summer activities kick off with the:

Annual Huck Finn Fishing Derby
Saturday June 6th
The Fishing pond next to Wataha Softball fields
Register @ 8:30 a.m.
Fishing begins at 9a.m.
Age Divisions 3-7 & 8-12

All Summer Youth Development Programs & Camps use a progression curriculum to teach the fundamentals of each sport so campers can see improvement by the end of each session.  Developing skills include not just the basics, but also teamwork, responsibility and a true love for the game.  Even better, the camps take kids back to simply playing for fun.
Lunches are provided during the events by Sweetwater County School District #1 for all participants. 
All events are open to boys and girls with a drive to learn how to play and improve their skills in any sport.

PLEASE PRE-REGISTER AT THE CIVIC CENTER

Deadline to register for each camp is the morning the camp begins.

For individual events, participants MUST be registered by the morning the event begins,
Registration Opens MONDAY, May 18, 2015
no mid-event registration will be allowed

The Rock Springs Park & Recreation Department charges a $10.00 fee, per activity, to participate in the Summer Youth Development Programs (SYDP), with a maximum fee for all events of $30.  Need based scholarships are available for passes, just chat with us.  Purchase at the Civic Center & program locations, prior to registration, or any time your child chooses to participate in a number of activities.
