ROCK SPRINGS — Rock Springs Police Department reported a car collision this afternoon that diverted traffic on I-80.

According to the RSPD, the collision occurred near mile marker 99 on I-80 in the westbound lane. The accident has caused traffic delays, diverting drivers at mile marker 102 to the service road and back on I-80 at the Cruel Jack’s exit.

Drivers are being asked to avoid Dewar Drive in Rock Springs and Interstate 80 at this time. The delays are expected to last a couple of hours.
