ROCK SPRINGS – Western Wyoming Community College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest building, the Western Wyoming Workforce Training Center, or W3TC, on Monday, Jan. 13, at 1:30 p.m. This event is jointly sponsored by the Rock Springs and Green River Chambers of Commerce, and the public is invited to attend.

Wyoming Gov. Matt Mead will be among the special guests on hand that day to help celebrate completion of the W3TC, along with Wyoming Business Council Southwest Regional Director Pat Robbins. The building was funded in part by a WBC grant, and the WBC received more than 70 letters of support from industry and community stakeholders for the project, which broke ground last May. The grant was sponsored by the Sweetwater County Commission and additional funding for the building was provided by the Western Wyoming Foundation.

The new facility, which is located on the west side of the WWCC campus, will provide much-needed classroom and training space for WWCC’s Industry Training programs, which provide critical workforce-development services for Western’s regional industry partners.
