SWEETWATER COUNTY — The Sweetwater County Commissioners will consider an agreement with DocuSign on Tuesday, which is an electronic signature tool that can be utilized to manage electronic agreements and transactions.
Gary McLean, Sweetwater County Human Resources Director, said tools such as DocuSign are necessary to increase efficiency as the county downsizes County government and to aid business amid the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.
In a letter to the County Commissioners, McLean said DocuSign handles each transaction as an envelope, much like mail service. In addition, pricing agreements are similarly per virtual envelope.
The Commissioners will be deciding between a Pro version, the basic level, and the Enterprise level, which is full-featured.
McLean said county staff recommends the board first approve the agreement for 2,000 envelopes, as they can increase the number of envelopes if needed. They also recommend the Enterprise level subscription. If the Commissioners go with this recommendation, it would cost $12,762.50.
This cost should be reimbursable through COVID-19 funding. However, once COVID-19 funding expires, the county will have to fund continued use of this tool. The subscription would last for a year.
[Due to COVID-19 Coronavirus recommendations, the commissioner’s video conference meeting on November 17, at 8:30 am, will not be accessible at the County Courthouse.]
The public is invited to watch the meeting on the Sweetwater County YouTube channel.
The public can express any concerns during the county resident concerns portion of the meeting at about 8:40 am by calling 307-872-3891, or by sending comments ahead of time via email to: [email protected].
