SWEETWATER COUNTY – After another successful benefit, Cowboys Against Cancer officials thanked everyone who made the event a good one.
On behalf of the Board and all of the volunteers associated with Cowboys Against Cancer, we can only say Thank You! The 20th Anniversary Benefit and Banquet was a tremendous success. Our corporate and individual sponsors started the evening by donating in excess of $174,000. Then during the evening the auction purchasers, grant underwriters and other donations continued to add to the total bringing our initial total to $475,000. Those funds will be used for grants for future cancer patients.
As we noted at the Benefit and Banquet, Sweetwater County cancer patients receiving treatment locally at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County Regional Cancer Center or outside of Sweetwater County at any of the many facilities in Salt Lake City, Denver or elsewhere where people travel to for treatment, are all eligible to receive grants ranging from $1,500 for local patients to $3,000 for those who are required to travel.
Thank you Sweetwater County for your generous support of Cowboys Against Cancer and thank you to everyone who attended the 20th Anniversary event on November 1st. We hope you had a great time while helping so many of your friends and neighbors. As Margaret Parry said at the event, you are our celebrities walking the Red Carpet on behalf of Cowboys Against Cancer.
