Dr. Cristy Pelham has been in education for 22 years and during that time she has been a substitute teacher, a classroom teacher, a swim coach, an instructional facilitator, an education association president, an adjunct instructor, and an administrator.
Cristy has taught a variety of STEM workshops, swim lessons, and coached youth soccer and baseball.
During that time she served on a variety of committees dealing with budgets and finance, negotiations, hiring practices, benefits, policy, curriculum and assessment, technology, and public relations.
She was born and raised in Rock Springs and has lived in McKinnon and Green River. She has been in Green River for the past 15 years.
Cristy’s husband, Dave Pelham 
Cristy’s children: Mikey McBee age 27 and a graduate of GRHS), Cristopher McBee (age 12 and in 7th grade at LMS), and Davey Pelham (age 5 and in Kindergarten at Monroe)
Cristy has worked for the City of Rock Springs, WWCC, Sweetwater School District No. 2, and Sweetwater School District No. 1. She was previously on the school board for School District No. 2 (two – 4 year terms).
Dr. Pelham holds a PhD in Education and is currently attending the University of Wyoming to complete her superintendent certificate. She is a published author and has presented at a variety of conferences on education, both nationally and statewide.
She enjoys football, time with family and friends, watching movies, and learning.

With Covid-19, budget cuts, legal issues, and a teacher shortage times will be tough for SCSD No. 2. I believe I can bring experience as a former board member, educator and parent to help the board and new Superintendent navigate these waters.
