CHEYENNE – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department filed emergency rules with the Wyoming Secretary of State’s office today to update grizzly bear hunt area boundaries correcting minor discrepancies in the boundary area descriptions.

“Boundary area descriptions should be clear to everyone,” said Dan Thompson, Game and Fish large carnivore section supervisor. “These changes are limited to boundary area descriptions and have no effect to other components of the plan.”

The grizzly bear hunt season is set to begin on September 15, 2018. Hunt area boundary descriptions will be updated. Accurate hunt area boundary maps are available on the Game and Fish website.
