Since 1951, Holy Spirit Catholic School (HSCS) has been an educational option in Sweetwater County.
While our school has changed over the years, the core values of a Catholic education have been unwavering.
Our school has excelled at consistently teaching students to become future servant leaders, faith-filled disciples and enriched, educated citizens in our communities. To accomplish this, we use the tenets of academic excellence, Catholic faith, and habits of mind as building blocks towards forming our graduates.

Holy Spirit Catholic School excels at:
- Providing a safe, nurturing environment for children Pre-K-Sixth Grade
- Fostering each child’s unique intellectual, moral, social, emotional and physical development
- Providing highly trained teachers
- Small class sizes (student-to-teacher ratio: PK-12:1; K-6-16:1)
- Emphasis on achieving high academic standards and cultivating habits of the mind to create life-long learners
- Accepting students of all faiths.
Consistently, we have provided our students with a well-rounded education in an environment steeped in our Catholic faith, academics, discipline, responsibility, and acceptance of all people.
Catholic faith development is at the heart of our school with the idea that we are imbuing our students with habits of the heart no matter their religious affiliation. In partnership with parents, the faculty and staff provide each student with the opportunity to:
- Acquire a personal relationship with Jesus in an atmosphere alive with the spirit of God
- Live the fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness, faithfulness, modesty, and self-control.
- Learn respect for the dignity of all and for God’s creation.
- Accept their own responsibilities as members of a community
These habits of the heart weave their way into our daily actions and are used as the building blocks of what we want our students to become.
Lastly, at HSCS, we teach our children to live in service to our families, our school, and our community for the greater good of all.

- Serving our students and parents is part of their calling as educators and professionals
- Parents volunteer many hours to help our school
The core values of our Catholic school are what sets us apart from other educational options. They are why families make sacrifices to provide their children with a Catholic education at Holy Spirit. We know that choosing to pay for a child’s education when a free choice is available can be a tough decision.
Please know our tuition is:
- The third lowest of the six Catholic schools in the state
- Lower than average cost for private elementary schools in surrounding states (UT avg. = $11,415; CO avg. = $10,851)
- Lower than the average costs for Catholic schools in the nation ($4840).
- Financial assistance is available on a needs-based system.
