Fair Participants Can Now Enter Competitions Online

Fair participants can now enter most competitions with the simple click of a mouse thanks to the new online feature on the Events Complex website.

ROCK SPRINGS — Entering competitions at Wyoming’s Big Show® just got a lot easier.

Participants can now quickly fill out an online entry form to participate in the fun. The different categories of open events that have online entries are Horse Events, Rabbit & Poultry Art, Crafts, Baking, Candies & Canning, Field Crops, Fruit & Honey, Vegetables, Floriculture, Needlecraft, and Photography.

Wyoming’s Big Show® features horse showmanship, leadline walk & trot, Western Pleasure & Equitation, reining & freestyle reining, trail, and mini jumping & trail-in-hand competitions. These competitions are all open to the public and you can easily register online.

There will also be a wide range of static exhibit competitions. Artists and photographers of all styles and mediums are welcome to display their work.

Crafts or needlecrafts categories will also be available, and if you know the way to a judge’s hearts is through their stomach, you can enter your culinary creations into the Baking, Canning, or Candies categories. Or if your ideal day is getting your hands dirty in the garden, then place an entry in the Field Crops, Fruit & Honey, Vegetables, and Floriculture categories.

Online entries are being accepted for all divisions and classes. Just go to the webpage www.sweetwaterevents.com, click on the Big Show tab, and click on entry information. This page features all the rules along with a link to enter.

If you know you are going to participate in an Open Class Event, enter online any time before August 1 at 7 p.m. The deadline for 4H/FFA online entries is Sunday, July 25 at midnight.
