FARSON-EDEN – The top five 1A teams were in Kaycee over the weekend and the Lady Pronghorns of Farson-Eden finished where they are currently ranked.
The second-ranked Lady Pronghorns battled into the gold bracket and on Saturday made a run for the title. Farson-Eden took down Meeteetse to open play Saturday and followed it with a big win over the third-ranked squad from Lingle-Ft. Laramie in the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket, the top-ranked squad in 1A, Encampment, beat fourth-ranked Little Snake River to set up the one vs. two match in the finals. The ladies of Farson would come up just short finishing in second. In the third-place match, Littel Snake River beat Lingle-Ft. Laramie to finish third.
The Lady Pronghorns hit the road for their next match as they are scheduled to take on Manila Thursday before returning home to take on Saratoga Saturday.
