With fires breaking out across the state, WHP is advising travelers to check road conditions first

LARAMIE – With fire season taking hold of Wyoming right now, the Wyoming Highway Patrol is advising travelers to check for road closures before heading out.

Laramie area Division Supervisor Lieutenant Tom Pritchard is encouraging motorists to check updates on a potential road closure due to a large forest fire from the Woods Landing area at Fox Creek Road to the Colorado state line southwest of Laramie on Wyoming state highway 230.

Lieutenant Pritchard is asking motorists to check if the road is open or not prior to traveling on that section of roadway due to the dangers from the large fire get closer to the road.
