PINEDALE — First responders saved the life of a furry friend earlier this week, who had fallen through the ice into Fremont Lake outside of Pinedale.
Sublette County Deputies, Wyoming Highway Patrol and Tip Top Search and Rescue found the dog about 40 yards off shore holding onto the edge of the ice.
“According to the reporting party the dog had been in the water approximately 30 minutes. Deputy Morgan approached the dog with caution and was able to crawl across the ice to the dog. He was then able to successfully pull the dog safely out of the water without incident,” the press release stated.
The reunion between the owner and dog was a warm embrace.
