Food Bank Receives $50k in Funds from United Way

SWEETWATER COUNTY  — The Food Bank of Sweetwater County has $50,000 to work with after receiving a grant from the United Way of Southwest Wyoming.

According to the food bank, the funding will go towards its Emergency Food Assistance Program, helping provide food to people experiencing food insecurity in the county. The funds also help the food bank continue its food distributions in Rock Springs and Green River, helping it respond to the ongoing need for food assistance.

“We are extremely grateful to United Way of Southwest Wyoming for their continued partnership and support,” Kathy Siler, the executive director of the Food Bank of Sweetwater County said. “This funding helps us continue providing nutritious food to our neighbors while making sure our programs remain available to those who need them.”
