GREEN RIVER — The first cross country meet of the season for the Green River Wolves and Rock Springs Tigers took place over the weekend at the Green River Invitational.
Rock Springs’ Charles Fossey blazed through the course, taking first in the boys 5k run. He finished with a time of 17:32.93 — 41 seconds ahead of second place.
Another Tiger who finished in the top 10 was Ethan Sholey who came in sixth with a time of 18:40.10.

Nathan Stevenson from Green River also saw a strong performance, earning the third best time in the boys division. Stevenson came in with a final time of 18:36.90.
Green River’s Lucas Knight was the only other boy to finish in the top 10, seeing an eighth place finish with a time of 19:28.68.
On the girls side, the Lady Tigers’ best performance was from Aubrielle Maes who claimed fifth place, posting a time of 23:01.95. Isabelle Murdock from Green River followed right behind Maes, taking home sixth place with a final time of 23:07.92.
