SHERIDAN – Led by two freshmen and a sophomore, the Rock Springs Lady Tigers finished the 2016 Wyoming State Cross Country Championships in 11th.
Freshman Hanna Crockett just missed a top 25 finish while Freshman Erin Poyer sat just outside the top 50 in their first state race. Crockett posted a time of 20:47.61 to finish in 35th. Her time was about 38 seconds off of a top-20 finish.
Just over a minute behind Crockett was her teammate. Poyer has had a strong few weeks and it continued in Sheridan. She crossed the line in 51st with a time of 21:30.12. Sophomore Jenae Ramirez posted the third best Lady Tiger time with a 22:48.39.
Senior Jasmine Ramirez finished her career at RSHS with the fourth-best time on the squad with a 22:48.39.
