Gearing up for High School Graduation Ceremonies

SWEETWATER COUNTY — The time has come for proud students to walk across the stage and receive their high-school diplomas. Both Sweetwater County school districts will be busy in the next couple of weeks handing out hundreds of diplomas.

Sweetwater County School District No. 2 will officially kick off this year’s high-school “graduation season” on Monday, May 16, while Sweetwater County School District No. 1 will host the last graduation ceremony of the year on Thursday, May 26.

Sweetwater County School District No. 2

Green River High School
When: Monday, May 16, 7 p.m.
Where: GRHS gym
Graduating Class: about 138 students
Noteworthy items: This is the smallest graduating class GRHS has had in years. Tickets are required for admission to the ceremony.

Expedition Academy
When: Tuesday, May 17, 7 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Middle School auditorium
Graduating Class: 18 students

Sweetwater County School District No. 1

Black Butte High School
When: Monday, May 23, 7 p.m.
Where: Western Wyoming Community College Theater
Graduating Class: 23 students

Farson-Eden High School
When: Wednesday, May 25, 5 p.m.
Where: Farson-Eden Gym
Graduating Class: 12 students

Rock Springs High School
When: Thursday, May 26, 7 p.m.
Where: Tiger Stadium
Graduating Class: about 300 students
