GREEN RIVER — Georgia Kalivas, 81, of Green River, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.  A long time resident of Green River, Wyoming, Mrs. Kalivas died following a lengthy illness.

She was born on December 21, 1932 in Hanna, Wyoming, the daughter of the late Thomas Camis and Delsie Frame Camis.

Mrs. Kalivas attended schools in Green River, Wyoming.

She married George Kalivas in Green River, Wyoming on December 22, 1947 and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2003.

Mrs. Kalivas was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

Her interests were spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing and decorating.

Survivors include three sons Jim Kalivas and wife Alice of Golden, Colorado, Tom Kalivas of Gillette, Wyoming and Ted Kalivas and wife Thea of Green River, Wyoming; one daughter Joy Walker and husband Howard of Green River, Wyoming; two brothers Tom Camis of Boise Idaho and George Camis and wife Pat of Rock Springs, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter Christine; one brother Kenny Camis; two sisters Helen Drees and Reba Sandstrom.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 405 “N’ Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.  A Prayer Service will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at the Riverview Cemetery in Green River, Wyoming.  Friends may call at the Vase Chapel in Rock Springs, Wyoming on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until time of Prayer Service and again Friday morning until time of funeral service.
