GREEN RIVER — The Green River Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center (CDC) will open with normal hours tomorrow and classes will resume on Tuesday even after it sustained some water damage today.
According to a social media post from the Green River Fire Department (GRFD), earlier today at around 2 p.m. the GRFD was dispatched to the Sweetwater CDC for a fire alarm.
“With the quick response from the fire department they found upon their arrival that the alarm system that is linked to flow system and one of the heads on the fire suppression system had popped with water flowing,” the GRFD stated. The fire department turned off the water to the system and the CDC was notified.
“There was water damage to the building and CDC is currently assessing damages and clean up for reopening tomorrow,” according to the GRFD’s social media post.
In a social media post today, the Sweetwater CDC stated “The GR center will be open for normal hours tomorrow. Classes will resume, as normally scheduled, on Tuesday.”
