GR Council to Vote on Microbrewery License

GREEN RIVER — The Green River City Council will host a public hearing before voting on a microbrewery license application by Badass Brews Tuesday night.

The state has already approved the license and this is the final step for Badass Brews to obtain the license.

If the City Council approves the license, the brewery will be able to open their doors to the public whenever they are ready to start conducting business.

The location of the business will be at 98 N 1st East St, which is the Tomahawk Hotel building. Badass Brews will be the first microbrewery of its kind to open in Green River, if approved.

Other Business

The Council will also consider authorizing the submission of a FY22 Assistance to Firefighters Grant to the Federal Emergency management Agency in the amount of $298,009.

The grant would have a required match of $14,900.The grant would provide federal funding for the purchase of 45 self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). The SCBA’s would replace the Green River Fire Department’s current equipment that are no longer manufactured and present concerns regarding support and replacement parts.
