GREEN RIVER — The Green River City Council will host a workshop to discuss a $3 million loan for the Teton Water Tank rehabilitation project, followed by a vote to approve the loan during their regular council meeting Tuesday night.
During the council’s Aug. 4 meeting, members voted to table the loan agreement with the Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board. Council members voiced concerns over needing more details about the rehabilitation and whether it made more sense to fund a full replacement rather than rehabilitate the current tank.
“I really wish that we had all options presented, what the new cost would have been, replace, rehab, hybrid,” Councilwoman Sherry Bushman said during the Aug. 4 meeting.
According to council documents, the interest rate on the loan would be 1.25% over a 20 year term, a .5% loan origination fee, no loan forgiveness and it will be paid back using increased user fees.
The Council workshop takes place at 6 p.m., followed by a meeting at 7 p.m. at Green River City Hall. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed on the city’s YouTube channel. An agenda can be found here.
