UPDATE – 9:23 a.m. According to Sweetwater Superintendent Donna Little-Kaumo around 7:00 a.m. a suspicious man was seen walking through the parking lot of Green River High School. Officials are currently reviewing surveillance footage of the man.
The man in the footage may or may not have had a rifle slung on his back.
Little-Kaumo said that the schools are in a state of lock in which means the buildings have been secured, and access is being restricted. Students are otherwise going about their day-to-day routine.
UPDATE – 9:17 a.m. according to reader reports the rest of the schools in Green River are now under a state of being locked in.

GREEN RIVER — Green River High School is locked in currently according to the Green River Police Department.
Chief Chris Steffen refused to issue a comment other than to say that school is on lock down.
Unofficial sources say a suspicious person with an assault rifle was reported this morning near the school.
The school had been locked down starting at approximately 8:10 according to reader reports, although the GRPD refuses to give any meaningful details on the situation so we cannot confirm the time or cause for the lock down.
