GREEN RIVER – The final spring sport seasons are closing in on the finish line as teams will head to Regional Championships across the state this weekend. The 4A West squads will collide in Green River.

Not only will regional titles be up for grabs, it is also the final opportunity for athletes to qualify for the State Championships. Regional Tournaments get underway May 13. While Green River and Rock Springs will be home, Farson-Eden will not be too far away either. They will travel to Lander as they chase Regional gold.

While many will be focusing on getting that spot at state locked up, others have already qualified and will focus on individual gold.

Rock Springs Tigers

Trent Rasmussen – 110-meter hurdles

Preston Portillo – 1600 meters and 800 meters. Currently has the second fastest time among 4A boys qualifiers in both events.

Rock Springs Lady Tigers

Bobbi Parker – 100 meters and 200 meters. Tied for the fastest time in 4A with Green River’s Aundri Dewey a 12.4. She has the fourth best time among current 4A qualifiers in the 200.

Lyndzie Kroupa – 100-meter hurdles

Bailee Radakovich – 800 meters

Selena Cudney – Long Jump

4×100 Relay Team – Emma Lapp, MaKenzie Kroupa, Lyndzie Kroupa and Bobbi Parker.

4×800 Relay Team – Jenae Rameriz, Isabelle Shields, Sheridan Klingensmith, Bailee Radakovich

Green River Lady Wolves

Aundri Dewey – 100 meters. Currently tied for the fastest time among 4A qualifiers.

Josie Givens – 800 meters. Third best time among 4A qualifiers.

Erika Wilson – High Jump. Tied for second highest jump among 4A qualifiers at 5’1”.

Emily White – Shot Put and Discus. Her throw of 37′ 4.50″ is second best in shot among 4A qualifiers. She has the fifth-best throw in the discus.

Farson-Eden Pronghorns

Lain Mitchelson – 1600 meters, 3200 meters and high jump. He has the fastest time in the 3200 and his 1600 time of 4:56.92 is second fastest among 1A qualifiers.

4×100 Relay Team – Thomas Rezzanico, Carter Malec, Eddie Barlow and Cody Sloan.

4×800 Relay Team – Braxton Applequist, Carter Malec, Miguel Loredo, Michael Gribewskas.

4×800 Relay Team – Braxton Applequist, Tiernan Bingham, Michael Gribowskas, Carter Malec.

4×800 Relay Team – Lain Mitchelson, Carter Malec, William Louderback, Braxton Applequist.

Farson-Eden Lady Pronghorns

Maizee Thoren – 100 meters and 100-meter hurdles. Her time of 13.30 in the 100 is just off the best in 1A this year at 13.03.

Sierra Burkhardt – 100 meters and Long Jump. She currently has the longest jump in 1A at 16′ 1″.

Kenzi Reed – 100-meter hurdles.

Carly Griffin – Shot Put. Griffin has the second longest throw among the 1A qualifiers.
