Hunter Education Class Offered in Kemmerer

KEMMERER-The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding a Wyoming Hunter Education Course December 11, 12, and 13 at the Kemmerer High School.

The course is the traditional 14-hour course and not the online Internet Field Day.

The class will run 5:30 to 8:30 PM on December 11 and December 12. The class will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 13. Pre-registration is required online at the Game and Fish website.  The class is limited to twenty-five students. The cost is $10.00 per student.

Students younger than age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring a lunch to class on Saturday, December 13 and dress for the weather, as some of the activities might be outside. Students are required to take notes and bring their student manuals to class all three days. A firearms field test, with no live rounds, as well as a final written test will be administered for certification. Students who fail either test may retake the course at a later date, as many times as needed. Do not bring any firearm to the class. All materials and equipment will be provided to students.
