Watch the radar of the hurricane force gusts from National Weather Service in Riverton
WIND RIVER BASIN — According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, around midnight on February 5th a snow squall moved quickly down the Wind River Basin and brought wind gusts to hurricane force along with brief heavy snow.
The squall was moving forward at up to 70 mph at times.
This is a radar loop of the wind velocity of the squall as it approached.
Green and blue colors are heading toward the radar, red is moving away.
The blue colors are indicating winds of over 60 mph aloft that were mixed to the surface as the squall moved through.
