Job Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented individual that has experience with HVAC and maintenance technician skills including the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance experience. This position will provide technical support related to HVAC, water operations, and general maintenance of 140 room hotel, travel center, fuel center, neighborhood and more. Must be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems and is responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life and emergency repairs. To be successful in this role, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities & Duties:
• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment including preventative maintenance checks.
• Installs, maintains, repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and general labor.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them in addition to reviewing schematics.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
• Use of hand and power tools and other machinery required.
• Provides technical direction and on-the-job training for staff as needed.
• Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Assists with the supervision on a team of 6 people.
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Stand for long periods of time, at least 6 hours a day.
• Walk or run for long periods of time.
• Bend or twist their body.
• Repeat the same movements.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The work environment is typically moderate in noise and may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions on a regular basis.
