SWEETWATER COUNTY — The KD Foundation for Sweetwater County Juvenile Diabetes will host their 8th Annual Walk-A-Thon this Saturday June 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. the event takes place at the Young At Heart Senior Citizen Center.

The Walk-A-Thon is sponsored by local businesses and will feature a free BBQ for participants. The proceeds are used to provide support to juvenile diabetics in Sweetwater County.

To date KD Foundation has been able to award a scholarship to every college bound graduating senior in Sweetwater County with juvenile diabetes. There are no academic requirements. The number of qualifying seniors varies from year to year but the minimum dollar value of the scholarships are $2,500.

KD Foundation also helps with medical grants to ease the burden of this devastating disease.
