GREEN RIVER — The Green River Lady Wolves will look to make the most of homecoming week with a pair of 4A Southwest Conference volleyball matches, beginning Thursday at home against Jackson.
Green River hosts Jackson at 5 p.m. Thursday before traveling to Star Valley on Saturday for a noon conference matchup.
The Lady Wolves enter the week with a 10-9 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the 4A Southwest Conference. Green River’s lone conference win came against Evanston earlier this season.
Jackson enters the week at 12-9 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while Star Valley is 16-9 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Thursday’s matchup will give Green River a chance to celebrate homecoming week in front of its home crowd while continuing its conference schedule. The Lady Wolves will then face Star Valley on Saturday in a matchup between two teams that have each opened conference play with a win.
With both matches coming against Southwest Conference opponents, Green River will have an opportunity to add to its conference record during a busy week that begins with Thursday’s homecoming matchup and concludes with Saturday’s trip to Star Valley.
