ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 18th Annual Holiday Lighted Parade will be on Saturday, December 5th, 2015.
The parade will travel through Historic Downtown Rock Springs.
The Holiday Lighted Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m., just after the Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony that will be held at Cannon Park at the intersection of Elk Street and Grant Street.
The parade will travel through Historic Downtown Rock Springs starting on the corner of “C” Street and Broadway, the floats will travel down South Main, then turn right on to E Street, left on to Broadway and then under the underpass and on to “M” Street. From “M “street the floats will make a left on to Pilot Butte, a left turn on to K Street, followed by a right turn on to North Front, after traveling down North Front the parade will end at the corner of Elk Street and North Front.
The floats will then disperse into the Vase Funeral Home parking area or over the “A” Street viaduct.
Before and after the Holiday Parade, stop-by Christmas in the Park held in Bunning Park. Christmas in the Park is a Giving Festival for local charities. During the day, local musical acts will provide entertainment and hot chocolate will be served. Santa Claus will be at Christmas in the Park, ride in the parade, and then head back to Christmas in the Park for the rest of the evening.
Hot Chocolate will be available at no cost at 1st Bank (601 N. Front St.), the Rock Springs Historical Museum (201 B St.), and at the Elks Lodge (307 C St.) coffee will also be available at this location.
