ROCK SPRINGS — Make-A-Wish Wyoming granted another child’s wish on Saturday morning in Rock Springs. Ella, who is from Big Piney, traveled with her family to First Choice RV and First Choice Ford in Rock Springs to receive her wish to have a camper trailer.
Make-A-Wish strives to provide, “life-changing experiences for children with critical illnesses.” Make-A-Wish Wyoming began in 1985 and has served more than 580 children within the state. Currently, the organization is in the process of granting 50 wishes throughout the state.
A Wish Come True
Ella has a genetic disorder that requires her to use body language and facial expressions in order to communicate.
Although life can be challenging, the four-year-old loves spending time in the outdoors and being with her family. Her love for the outdoors was influenced by her family, however, camping became extremely difficult due to the equipment needed for Ella during overnight trips.
Ella’s wish for a camper trailer was inspired by her experiences in the outdoors and the time that she spent with her family.
On Saturday morning, First Choice RV and First Choice Ford hosted the revealed wish. Ella was eager to try out her new camper trailer and with the help of her father, she climbed in and instantly approved of the surprise with a big smile.
“For Ella, being with her family and spending time outdoors are immensely positive experiences, and we are very glad that Ella will be able to spend quality time in the environments she loves with the people who mean the most to her,” Volunteer and Referral Coordinator Mandy Burton said.
