Mayor’s Art Awards Nominee Deadline Extended

ROCK SPRINGS — The Rock Springs Main Street/URA and Community Fine Arts Center are announcing an extension for the 2022 Mayor’s Arts Award nominations.

The new deadline will be March 10.  Nomination information can be found at https://www.downtownrs.com/mayor-arts-awards/  

“There is quite a few people who have asked for a few more days to get their nominations complete and we don’t want anyone to miss having a chance to nominate their favorite artist, musician, patron of the arts or organization,” said Debora Soule’, CFAC director. ”And if you need help with the process, please call us at the CFAC, or the Downtown Rock Springs office.”

This is the second year for this unique recognition of the importance the arts play in Rock Springs.

One of last year’s Rock Springs Mayor’s Arts Award winners was Shari Kumer, a longtime art instructor in Sweetwater School District #1 and also an artist who has work owned by many in the community.  Nominations are now being accepted for this year’s award until March 10th.
