Pat and Nancy McConnell of Rock Springs are celebrating a very special day today: their 50th wedding anniversary.
Pat McConnell and Nancy Norman were married on October 9, 1971, at St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Casper, Wyoming. They first met at University of Wyoming.
Pat retired in 2016 after 44 years working in the purchasing department at FMC. Nancy retired in 2011 from Sweetwater County School District #1 after 34 years of service in Special Education at Reliance and Northpark Elementary Schools.
The couple have two children: Sydnie McConnell of Greeley, Colorado; and Randy McConnell and wife Kelly of Rock Springs.
They also enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren, Kylah and husband John Avery of Evanston, WY; Rhiannon McConnell and significant other Ford Kerwin of Rock Springs; Allison McConnell and significant other Damion Aragon of Rock Springs; and Aspen McConnell of Rock Springs. They also have two great grandchildren, Renyn and Braysen.
In their retirement, Pat enjoys woodworking and studying Wyoming history. Nancy enjoys sewing and quilting. But both enjoying doting on their grandkids and doing whatever the kids want.
