When you think about the Wyoming Highway Patrol and the services that they provide there might be one that the general public doesn’t see very often. That service would be transporting blood and other products across the State in times of need and expedience.
On the night of January 29th, our Wyoming State Troopers went above and beyond to help facilitate care at our hospital. They relayed blood and blood products not only once, but twice from Cheyenne to Rock Springs. This particular night Wyoming State Dispatchers, Troopers and behind the scene personnel touched the lives of multiple patients, concerned family members and staff here at Sweetwater Memorial.
Dr. Augusto Jamias (general surgeon), Dr. Wagner Veronese (OB/GYN surgeon), Dr. Brandon Mack (anesthesia), OB/ ICU/ MedSurg/ ED nurses/ OR crew, Laboratory staff and many other key players in our facility, would like to convey our profound appreciation and utmost respect to each individual involved in this relay of life-saving measures. Thank you, Wyoming Highway Patrol.
