ROCK SPRINGS – The Southwest Chapter of the Muley Fanatic Foundation (MFF) is reminding everyone that their 5th Annual Fundraiser banquet is coming up this Saturday, March 5th, at the Sweetwater County Events Complex. Headlining the event will be the Bar J Wranglers from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Bar J Wranglers will be performing a 90-minute show full of classic country tunes mixed with a bit of comedy.

Doors will open at 4 pm on Saturday and will be followed by a great evening that will differ somewhat from the previous MFF banquet line-ups. Folks can expect some new and exciting things that have differed from banquet happenings in the past, as well as some of the things people have come to look forward to each year, including games, many chances to win high-quality firearms and other assorted items. Dinner will be provided by Big Dave’s Dutch Oven, with two whole smoked hogs on the menu along with delicious dutch oven cooked beans, potatoes, peach cobbler and homemade root beer.

One big difference in this year’s event is that the traditional live auction has been significantly reduced. Being dubbed the “Best of the Best Live Auction,” the line-up will include popular items from previous auctions including two 2016 Wyoming Commissioner’s licenses. In addition, this year’s event is slated to have a silent auction being billed as “bad donkey” in that everything being featured in the auction is above and beyond what folks have come to expect in years past.

Also new for 2016 will be an exciting opportunity to win some spectacular prizes in a patriotic-themed red, white and blue table raffle. With a significant emphasis on quality items, folks can expect to see merchandise from Kimber, Hoyt, Weatherby, DPMS, Maven, Kuiu, Badlands, Vortex, Goal Zero and Yeti to name a few. Also up for grabs is a fully guided three species hunt in Northwest Montana with Cody Carr Hunting Adventures. Species include elk, choice of mule or whitetail deer and bear along with meals and lodging in Plains, Montana. Also included in this prize from Western Trends Taxidermy in Rock Springs is a deer shoulder mount.

People have become accustomed to a great event and this year’s event aims to raise the bar to a new standard. The Southwest Chapter of the Muley Fanatic Foundation retains 70 percent of all proceeds from the event and allocates said funds locally through a 9-member, all-volunteer, project allocations committee (PAC). In 2015, the Project Allocation Committee tallied projects in excess of $91,000 to local needs and hopes to exceed that this year. Ticket Information

Banquet tickets are $65 a piece. That includes an MFF membership, meal and entry to the event. Kids 10 and under are FREE. You won’t want to miss the Bar J Wranglers so purchase your tickets before they are gone.

A limited number of corporate tables remain. They are $1000 a piece and include 10 event tickets, 10 MFF memberships, a table centerpiece, and meals.
