Mullen Fire Activity Expected to be High; Grows to 166K Acres

ALBANY COUNTY — The Mullen Fire was very active Tuesday and is expected to continue to be active again today.

The fire grew to 166,588 acres yesterday and through the night, and remains 14 percent contained.

Airtankers are expected to be utilized with retardant drops throughout the day in the Albany area.

There are currently 1,050 firefighters on scene working to control the flames.

Containment date is currently estimated for October 30, 2020.
