New Board Member, Commissioner Liaison Introduced at SW Fair Board Meeting

SWEETWATER COUNTY – A few new additions were recognized at the Sweetwater County Fair Board meeting Tuesday night.

Janet Hartford was introduced as the newest member of the board. The former Green River Chamber Chief Executive Officer is replacing Bill Valdez, who recently completed his term on the board.

A new Sweetwater County Commissioner will be working with the complex. Commissioner Reid West is taking over liaison duties from Commissioner John Kolb. In the new assignments, Kolb will be trading spots with West as he is now the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County liaison.

As by law, the board also had to decide on new officers for the 2016 year. The board unanimously left the officers the same. Officers are Kent McCann, Chairman, Faith Harris, Vice-Chairperson, Jodee Burnett, Secretary, and Charles Barnum as Treasurer.
