SUBLETTE COUNTY — Emergency crews responded to a production site fire in the Jonah Field yesterday at around 6:30 p.m. Sublette County Fire Warden Shad Cooper said the fire occurred in a dehydration unit at the Jonah North Production Site near Lumen Road.
Seven fire trucks, one ambulance, three Sublette County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and a Wyoming Highway Patrolman responded to the scene.
Cooper said the crews arrived on scene around 6:30 p.m. and took a defensive stance to evaluate the incident. After determining the fire was at a real risk of spreading to a nearby tank of flammable material the crews attacked the fire with water and put it out. The responders cleared the scene around 11:00 p.m.
While there was no loss of life or injuries from the incident there was some equipment loss for Anadarko the owner of the site.
The cause is still under investigation.
