People in Isolation and Quarantine Can Vote Curbside or Absentee

SWEETWATER COUNTY — Anyone who has been placed into isolation or quarantined by Sweetwater County Public Health can still vote curbside at their polling location, or, can vote via Absentee Ballot at the Sweetwater County Courthouse.

“Folks in isolation and quarantine are allowed to leave their premises to vote. They are sent a letter regarding that along with isolation and quarantine orders. It mentions to call their polling precinct ahead of time for instructions,” Sweetwater County Public Health Official Dr. Jean Stachon said.

People will be required to wear masks and not drive with other people who are not in isolation or quarantine, Dr. Stachon added.

“An election official will meet you at your vehicle and ask for your information. A ballot will be delivered to you in a privacy sleeve,” Sweetwater County Clerk Cindy Lane said. “You will then fill out the ballot, place it back in the privacy sleeve, and it will be taken to the ballot tabulator for processing.”

If you do not know your polling precinct location or number, you can call the Sweetwater County Clerk’s Office at 307-872-3733.

Sweetwater County Clerk Cindy Lane said anyone voting Absentee Ballot will be required to fill out an Absentee Ballot Request Form before voting Absentee Ballot. All of this can be done at the Sweetwater County Courthouse in Green River, located at 80 West Flaming Gorge Way.
