SWEETWATER COUNTY — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has closed portions of Interstate 80 across the state due to a winter snow storm that passed through yesterday.
WYDOT crews are working as quickly as they can to reopen I80 and other highways across the state. Currently Wyoming Highway 430 is closed with no estimated reopening time being given.
WYDOT is reporting the following road closures on I80
- Utah state line to Rock Springs is closed EASTBOUND due to a rolling closure. Local traffic is still being allowed between LaBarge and Rock Springs.
- I80 from Rock Springs to Rawlins is closed EASTBOUND due to a rolling closure.
- I80 from Rawlins to Laramie is closed BOTH DIRECTIONS due to winter conditions.
- I80 from Cheyenne to Laramie is closed WESTBOUND due to a rolling closure.
- As of December 10 at 9:45 a.m., the estimated opening time for all of these closures is in 8 to 10 hours.
